Seriously.
For those of you who think it's all about cool dramas and speeches and expensive Dinner theatre, keep on believing. But oncethat shit starts to seriously break you down, the whole game changes up. You start learnig things about yourself that you never would have imagined. On the one hand, it can be a great adventure and process of self discovery. But be warned... Not everything in there is friendly.

So now what? Sorry for the rant, but shit is getting crucial now.

So I tried to recaulk my shower tonight.

Dude.

Fuck caulk. Fuck it hard, fuck it dirty and degrading. That shit gets everywhere, it sticks, it stinks, and it's the devil's semen. Fuck caulk.

On another note, open relationships are tough.

On another nother mother note, I called my mom on her birthday and she was sober. The English language doesn't have words to describe my elation at that.
Namaste, douchebags. ;)

So Brig and I were at dinner tonight, having a wonderful time at Meli eating lamb and duck and shit like that... then an awkward topic of conversation came up and things got a little uncomfortable. We spent awhile working through it and eventually came to a good place. So then we went over to the bar and had some pastries. The topic of conversation turned to the Flying Spaghetti Monster (your lord and mine) and His dominance over the Universe. Brig didn't believe that such a thing existed, so I went to pull out my phone and google FSM baltimore in order to show her that he was alive and well and posted on a billboard in Hampden.
Well, I reached into my pocket to pull out my phone, and instead, out came a lacey black thong. An effing sexy one, no doubt. I laughed, and Brig asked why I was laughing. So I showed her the thong and said "Well loookeeee here. Looks like I must have borrowed this from you!".
Brig replied: "That's not mine."
It was someone else's thong in my pocket.
But... clean.
We have no idea whose it is. It fits Brig, and I can't think of anyone else whose thongs I might have stashed in random jacket pockets. I mean... it COULD be someone else's...? Maybe? But it fits Brig, and it MIGHT be hers, so we're just gonna say that it's hers.
Unless anyone out there is missing a sexy black lacey thong, and might have stashed it in my jacket...??

Ready to go.

Nevermind.

There are some things that we just don't come back from.

There are some experiences that we just can't ever forget.
Some people who will never leave.

Try as we might,
we can't get away.

Goddammit.

Not even from you.

Nei Kung, anyone?

So I've been working with some basic chi kung exercises for the past few months, mostly working on trying to develop sensetivity to the energies and movement. Lately I've been standing for 15 minutes in the 'mother posture' and seeing how that goes. Feels usually like a little ball of energy is rolling counterclockwise from my left hand, down my arm, through my chest, up my right arm, to my right hand, then over to my left.
Anyone else had any similar experiences? Any good books or exercises you can recommend? I've been enjoying Mantak Chia's stuff. Any input?

I love Every Man Jack's aftershave. For srsly, this shit is GREAT! It might be a little heavy for some people, but I swear the combination of shea butter and a crackrock's worth of menthol are just unbeatable. Makes my whole head feel like I'm swimming in a sea of refreshment.

Now, on to what I'm currently hating... SINGLE SERVING COFFEE MAKERS. Fuck that! I want more than just ONE cup, and I have to rob a housekeeping cart just to get enough to fix myself up. This is gayness, people. Please stop putting them in hotels. A good ol' carafe is perfect, thank you very much. Again, fucking with the classics is a major no-no.

I'm in San Diego right now and it's absolutely beautiful. Last night I ate an asston of sushi and watching a bunch of Kat Williams videos on Youtube. It was a good night.

Thank you.

Someone must die for this.

All my posts lately are so aggro!!! But I can't help it. Life is pissing me off. Rather, people who control our lives are. What am I getting at, you ask???
I went to Arby's to get a thick delicious jamocha shake. I grew up drinking them. They've been a staple of my diet for thirty goddamn years. So I get one today, take one look, ad kindly ask the nice Vietnamese boy behind the counter:
"excuse me sir, but what in the name of Allah is that?"

The motherfucking thing has swirls of chocolate in it.

He replies: "that's a jamocha shake. They change it now. New shake."

New motherfucking shake.

Seriously???

You don't fuck with the classics, people. Two words: 'New Coke'. That didn't work either, did it?

I blame Starbucks. That's it, I'm converting to Manicheism. The world, this world, is run by evil Archons and overseen by a terrible Demiurge. I want out.

This is a great fucking show! I have an absolute bromance for Hank Moody, I could SO see my life turning into his! Seems like I'm always just a few steps away from a binge-drinking, hooker-cradling, bad-poetry-fueled breakdown. And it would be the most beautiful thing anyone had ever seen...
Lucky for me, I've got stabilizers. Wanna borrow some? :)

Quothe Roots Manuva:
"God-damned motherfucking son of a bitch."

So I'm reading USA Today earlier, enjoying an article about Battlestar Galactica. Keep in mind, I haven't seen season 4 yet. So I'm reading some character bios, when all of a sudden: "blah blah blah, such and such, the final Cylon etc etc". YUP. Just like that, and they just throw a fucking spoiler. That's a BIG fucking spoiler, bitches!!! So I'm pissed about that.

On to other things.

My man Kian had his birthday last week, and asked me to DJ at X S for him. Now, seeing as how Kian is the one who taught me the craft in the first place, that was a mighty honor for me. So that was awesome. And then, I went and saw Tricky at Rams Head Live in Baltimore. Great fucking show!!! I've been wanting to see tricky perform for years, and finally got my chance. The show was absolutely awesome, and I even got to chat with him afterwards. The only thing that I regret is not hanging out longer with him, because he was actually really approachable and cool. So that was a great experience.

So, that's all for now. Three more flights home today, then off to San diego tomorrow. Good sushi to look forward to. Do we have a Body out there?

Waiting on a shuttle in LA.

In thetime that it took to write that, the shuttle came. Woots.
So, took my II* at KTO and had an absolutely wonderful time. The people up there are always so welcoming, Ive been fortunate enough to be able to extend the hospitality of my house to a few of them in the past.
I'm really looking forward to this NOTOCON. I bought a new laptop an a little portable DJ controller, so we'll see about the possibility of a post-Mass rave. :)

93 all.

Well, it's official. I finally finished my first real 'mix'. It's most moody, downtempo triphop. Tricky, Massive Attack, DJ Krush, etc. If you're interested in obtaining a copy, just email me with your address and I'll drop one in the mail for you. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. It's something I've been wanting to do for an extremely long time, and I can only hope that it brings you half as much happiness as I felt when I nailed some of the mixes.

93 all.

NOTOCON.

This was my first NOTOCON. I don't even know why I'm trying to write about it, because there just aren't words to express it all. I have to agree most with the person who said that NOTOCON was like having a long distance relationship of intense passion and yearning... with entire host of people. Or, they said something like that. Anyhow, I'm going through the comedown now, and the melancholy of it is such an interesting experience- I can only remember a few times in my life when I felt this way. There's definitely a sweetness to it for me, though. A pleasant feeling right in the center of my chest, knowing that everyone is spread all over the world, yet can come together for an event of such loveliness and fraternity. I made a lot of contacts during this weekend, and I plan on USING them. So to everyone who I talked to, expect a visit soon!

I can't think you all enough for the conversations, advice, support, and love. Especially after the Mass, when I was dealing with some things that I wasn't exactly prepared for. Thanks for helping me through, and deepening my understandings of Beauty and Strength.

Much love to you all!!

My evil, death-ish journal.

It's a good day to be me. I changed my journal look to be all reflective of my obsession with cuddly grim reapers. For real, who can resist spooning with those little purple buggers?? As long as they leave their scythes.

On another note, I'm happy because Ghost Kitty showed up just now. Ghost Kitty is a neighborhood cat who trounces around in our yards, taking it's fill of love by it's own whim. I love when Ghost Kitty comes around, since I can't have a kitty (thanks to my allergies and high-flying lifestyle). I always keeps a bag of catnip in the backyard for it. I love my Ghost Kitty.

Another great thing- the advertisement directly over there -------> has a picture of a goat, and it says "BAAAAAAH..." "Be a Goat!" After this weekend, I can't see a goat without smiling. I'll leave the rest to your filthy imaginings.

Another great thing- I've got a slamming cup of oolong tea that I'm sipping on, and I'm about to work on my mixtape. I'll post to URL when it's done, and send out CD's to those lucky few contestants who got the golden ticket.

Another great thing- ah screw it, there are too many to mention. Suffice to say, I'm hella genk'ed-up right now. Wiki it, fool.

Damn this has changed...

Alright so admittedly, it's been a few years since I've kept up with a Live Journal, and it looks like a lot has changed around here, so bear with my if it all looks completely sophomoric and lame. I'll get into the rhythm of posting regular stuff, I promise, but it's gonna take a minute. In the meantime, why don't you take the time to make me some soup?
